Springtime in New York brings many things, but perhaps one of the most notable ones for students, teachers, and parents is standardized testing. The Common Core can often be confusing to parents since the standards present different methods of problem solving than what many of us are use to.

Several of our Fellows - all active classroom teachers - explain the standards for their respective grade levels and offer tips on passing the exams for New York Post's Passing the Common Core Series.

Check out the insights from Fellows Kristen Radecki (Grade 2 ELA), Leah Brunski (Grade 3 ELA), Luciano D'Orazio (Grade 6 ELA), Vidya Chow (Grade 7 Math), and Michele Cleary (Grade 8 ELA) below!
